AEL Mining Services, a member of the AECI Group, is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets. The AECI Bursary Scheme is intended to attract capable young learners into the business.
The company offers bursaries to top students who want to be a part of a world class organisation with an international presence. These options are available to students studying towards various engineering and chemical related qualifications.
Applications are considered from students who have successfully completed their first year of study. Applications will be opened from September until the end of October each year. An application link will be supplied during the application window.
To qualify for a bursary or scholarship through AECI, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Be a registered fulltime student at a recognised educational
- Provide proof of Grade 12 recent academic results
- An aggregate mark of 60% should be attained in the first year of study or first semester whichever is applicable
