The Gold and Uranium business unit at AEL provides explosives products and services to the Southern African gold and uranium mining sectors.
This business unit consists of three regional managers who monitor sales' activities for the top three blue-chip mining houses operating in this sector. A further 15 dedicated sales executives are employed to manage the Free State, Klerksdorp and Carletonville regions and provide customers in these areas with reliable, consistent access to AEL’s vast range of products designed to address the requirements demanded in underground tunnelling and stopping applications.
AEL supplies a full range of products to address mining requirements in gold and uranium environments, whilst providing services, such as rock-on-floor, rock-on-ground and performance-based contracts to suit each customer's needs.
The product range includes a range of explosives products, such as Anfex, Magnum 365 and Gel, underground bulk emulsions (both bulk and packaged), detonating cords, boosters, Energex Pillow packs and Barrel, and initiating systems, shock tubes, electronics and AEL’s cutting-edge Centralised Blasting Systems, as well as a range of supportive products, including electronic starters, non-electronic starters, copper wire and circuit testers.
